If you’re a SelectTime employee, you’re automatically covered at a basic level for life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance. Intuit’s life insurance plans are offered through Securian Financial Group, Inc.
Note: Your basic life and AD&D insurance are effective immediately upon your SelectTime status start date.
Basic life insurance
Intuit automatically provides basic life insurance coverage in the amount of $50,000.
You must name one or more beneficiaries for your basic life insurance when you enroll. If you die while covered by the plan, the beneficiaries you name will receive payment from the plan under the plan provisions. Learn about how to name or change beneficiaries.
Optional life insurance
You can purchase optional supplemental employee life insurance coverage in $50,000 increments up to $400,000.
You can purchase optional spouse/domestic partner and child life insurance coverage in $25,000 increments up to $150,000.
Beginning at age 70, employee basic and supplemental coverage reduces to a percentage of the amount in effect prior to age 70: to 65% at age 70 and 50% at age 75.
Accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance
Accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance pays benefits to you or your beneficiaries if you die or are seriously injured in an accident. Intuit provides you with basic coverage of $50,000.
Our plan pays 100% of your base earnings if you die or lose both hands, both feet, sight in both eyes, or any combination of these. It pays 50% of your earnings if you lose one hand, one foot, or sight in one eye.
Optional accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance
You can purchase optional supplemental employee accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance coverage in $50,000 increments up to $400,000.
