Invest in your emotional well-being in the new year
For many of us, heading into a new year may involve a little life assessment. What’s going well and what could we improve? One improvement that could help you achieve a prosperous and productive 2021 is to bolster your emotional well-being—so you’ll be ready for new adventures and prepared to take on the challenges life throws at you. And Intuit benefits are here to support you along the way—to help you build resilience, improve your mindfulness, strengthen your relationships and much more.
1. Join an in-person session.
Check the Education & Events page or the Intuit-All Slack channel to learn about the latest classes and webinars, including Benefits Team Office Hours webinars, focused on emotional and financial well-being and family support.
  • Over the next few months, Optum and Whil are offering instructor-led sessions on resilience, mindfulness, relationships, sleep and more.
  • From February 22 through March 18, Whil will be offering 14-minute, instructor-led Mindful Micro-Break sessions every Monday–Thursday at 9 a.m. PT. Come take a deep breath and clear your head!
2. Access support whenever you need it.
Need an emotional boost? Rely on Intuit’s many well-being programs to give you a lift.
  • The Calm app offers guided meditations, mindfulness programs, sleep stories and mindful movement videos to help you lower your stress, reduce your anxiety and improve your sleep. And through the Intuit Passport Corporate Program, you can get an annual subscription for just $29.99. That’s a 57% discount!
  • Through Intuit’s learning platform, Degreed, you can access on-demand webinars and self-paced mindfulness sessions.
3. Talk with someone.
Sometimes, maintaining your emotional health takes more than a DIY approach. If you or a family member needs someone to talk to, Intuit benefits can help.
  • Starting February 1, you’ll have more free counseling sessions available through Optum, Intuit’s Employee Assistance Program. You and your eligible family members will each have access to 10, rather than six, sessions per issue, per year.
  • Through telemedicine, you can access virtual counseling services when and where it’s convenient for you. Optum offers Talkspace, which lets you connect with a licensed therapist via private texting and live video sessions. Cigna members can also access Talkspace through their medical plan.
Are you a manager? Be sure to review the Supporting Team Members’ Well-Being Manager Guide to access tips and tools that can help you assist your team members through their emotional challenges.
Pro tip! Staying physically healthy is an important part of maintaining your emotional well-being. While the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the best way to stay well is to arm yourself with knowledge.
  • Get the facts about the virus.
  • Get tested. If deemed medically necessary (you have symptoms or you’ve been exposed), LabCorp at-home test kits are covered under your Intuit medical plan. Be sure to input your insurance info when you order the kit. Or get tested in person at your doctor’s office or a community testing site.
